Did you know that since the start of working from home, 64% of manufacturing firms say they saw an increase in attacks? Further, 98% of IT professionals say that working from home has increased security risk.
Workers, we are told, demand instant access to a full set of resources from any device, without having to remember multiple passwords, or conduct multiple authentications, or navigate other processes of getting permission.
These needs are seen as being in conflict with cybersecurity best practise: make it difficult for workers to access the resources and platforms they need to get the job done, and they will find insecure ways of making their lives easier.
The results shown in this research paper are drawn from a survey covering 100 IT professionals with responsibility for security strategy or implementation in the manufacturing sector.
