Autonomous capabilities in farming drive efficiency, reduce fuel, carbon, and nitrogen emissions, lower chemical inputs, and empower farmers to achieve more with fewer resources, resulting in cost reductions or eliminations. Apart from the environmental benefits, fiscal sustainability provides farmers with enhanced efficiency and productivity, enabling them to cultivate increased profitability. Trimble, in collaboration with HORSCH, introduced an autonomous sprayer in 2021. This solution has the potential to prevent emissions equivalent to 27.4 million metric tons of CO2, which is comparable to permanently removing six million passenger vehicles from the road.
